- Meeting point: the hut next to the Harbour Master’s Office and the harbour riding school
- Please arrive 10 minutes before the departure time

How the activity works
1️⃣ Boarding and duration
- Location: Port of Capbreton (jetty B), aboard the Maimiti catamaran.
- Duration: 4 hours.
2️⃣ Whale watching
- Observation area: Gouf de Capbreton, an underwater canyon renowned for its biodiversity, home to common dolphins, bottlenose dolphins and other marine species.
- Ethical approach: maintaining a safe distance so as not to disturb the animals, as with the X-DOLPHIN activity.
3️⃣ On-board experience
- Captain’s commentary: explanations about cetaceans and the Gouf’s ecosystem, similar to those provided during the X-DOLPHIN activity.
- Data collection: indirect participation in citizen science via reported observations.
4️⃣ Combination of sailing and observation
- Mixed sailing: use of sails for travel, complemented by active sightings.
- Atmosphere: a friendly setting limited to 18 passengers.
