The Palue, a tributary of Lake Léon, invites you into the heart of the Landes region, within a protected natural area. Over an 8-kilometre route, you’ll paddle a canoe or kayak amongst unspoilt flora and fauna. For two hours in the shade of a gallery forest, discover the Landes’ original vegetation along this narrow, winding little river.

How the activity works
1️⃣ Route
An 8-kilometredescent of the Palue within a protected Natura 2000 nature reserve, in the shade of the Landes forest. Average duration: 2 hours at your own pace, with a gentle current.
2️⃣ Practical information
- Vessels: canoes/kayaks for 1 to 3 people.
- Shuttles: bus service included for the return journey to the starting point.
- Opening hours: open from 1 May to 31 October, with evening sessions available in July and August by booking.
3️⃣ Audience and accessibility
- Suitable for all abilities, including families (special rates available).
- Pets allowed.
- Equipment: provided by the centre (life jackets included).
4️⃣ Bookings
The sessions take place without a guide (self-guided), but with an initial briefing on safety and the route. The route combines ecological discovery (unspoilt flora and fauna) with water-based leisure activities.
