The Cité de l’Océan, right next to the Biarritz Aquarium, invites you to enjoy immersive and spectacular experiences at the heart of the oceans. Explore the oceans in virtual reality, ride the waves with Surf 5D and board a bathyscaphe for a thrilling dive towards the poles.

Dive into ‘700 Sharks in the Night’, a 360° immersion at the heart of a pack of sharks, and fly over the Basque coast with Seaborg. 3D animations, 4D cinema, virtual reality and surf simulators make exploring the marine world both fun and thrilling, for children aged 6 and over.

How the activity works

  • Discover 3D/4D cinema and 3D animations set in the ocean.
  • A virtual reality experience to explore the ocean depths, sharks, the poles and legendary waves.

  • 5D/VR surfing simulation to ride the waves at Belharra or Teahupoo without getting wet.
