Set down your bags in the heart of the beautiful Côte de Lumière, in La Barre-de-Monts, an authentic seaside village on the Atlantic coast at the gateway to the Vendée islands.
By car, cross the bridge and you're in Noirmoutier. By boat, just 400 m from the pier, head for theIle d'Yeu. By bike or on foot, you can explore the continent's forests, marshes and beaches, with its varied landscapes and activities. You really won't have any excuses. Here, everything is within reach!
Our campsite is undergoing a complete overhaul. With renovated facilities and services open throughout the season (children's and other clubs), the whole family will be delighted! For a comfortable stay, we've selected some very recent mobile homes with carefully designed furnishings, in a quiet area away from the bridge. It's clear that we're moving upmarket. La Grande Côte is sure to be popular!
At our 4-star La Grande Côte campsite, you'll have the best views in the Vendée; tested and approved many times over thanks to the feedback we've already received! Facing theisland of Noirmoutier, with direct access to the Fromentine beach and the water park with heated pool. For a family holiday or a romantic getaway, all you have to do is choose your style. Mobile home, cabin, hotel or tent under the pines, it's up to you to decide how you want to get away from it all :)

Swimming & well-being
Head for the large heated outdoor pool, ideal for swimming. The little ones can splash around safely in the paddling pool next to the pool.
For a moment of relaxation, come and take a seat on one of the deckchairs on the sun terrace next to the pool. Surrounded by greenery, take advantage of this ideal setting to perfect your tan in the shade of the pergolas, or read a book while keeping an eye on your children. In the low season, the emphasis is on peace and quiet, but every morning you can wake up to an invigorating fitness or aquagym class. In the evening, share a moment of conviviality over the cocktail games.
Activities and entertainment
When summer comes, the pace quickens! Thanks to a motivated team of entertainers, you'll never see the time go by, whether during the day or in the evening! In the mornings, teenagers and adults can enjoy a gentle wake-up session in the pool, while the afternoons promise plenty of action with sports tournaments and team games for all. To round off the day in style, come along to the themed evenings, karaoke, concerts and other dance evenings, where you and your family can share memories to the rhythm of this summer's hits!
The campsite offers 3 free Clubs:
- Kids Club (5-7 years): open all season from 10am to 12pm and from 3pm to 5pm. Activities and laughter with friends: creating shows, mini-disco or painting! It's a great way to let your imagination run riot at this age.
- Club Juniors (8-12 years): open all season from 10am to 12pm and from 3pm to 5pm. With energy to spare and plenty of opportunities to develop, this is the place for swimming, sports Olympics and creative activities.
- Club Teens (13-17 years): open only in July and August from 10am to 12pm and from 3pm to 5pm. A choice of activities, on the water or in the sand, so you can take home some great memories with your friends!

- Ile de Noirmoutier: 3 km or 5 min. With its pretty flowery name, "l'île aux mimosas" (the island of mimosas), the island boasts a wide variety of landscapes, with sandy beaches, dunes, coves, pine and holm oak woods and salt marshes. Discover its capital, Noirmoutier-en-île, with its pretty white houses, harbour and 12th-century church.
- Le Passage du Gois: 10 km or 10 mins. A landmark of the Vendée. Come and walk the mythical road under the sea that links the island of Noirmoutier to Beauvoir-sur-Mer. Its characteristic feature is that several times a day, at the rhythm of the tides, the cobblestones of the Passage du Gois are submerged by the sea.
- Le Daviaud in La-Barre-de-Monts: 5 km, 10 minutes. A must-see in the Marais Breton Vendéen. With a tour that reveals seven different worlds highlighting the surrounding habitat and natural areas, and a very interesting exhibition entitled "The marsh and its people", this visit is a real immersion in a "poetic and marvellous" marsh.
- Butterfly Island: 16 km, 16 min. A different kind of walk among butterflies and tropical flowers from the 4 corners of the world. This is the largest greenhouse in France.
- Ile d'Yeu: Departure by boat from Fromentine, 500 m away, then a 45-minute sea crossing. This wild island is 10 km long and can be explored by bike for the day (megaliths, castle, port de la meule, etc.). - Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie: 35 km, 40 minutes. Welcome to sardine country! A listed seaside resort, you'll discover its harbour and an authentic, colourful fishing village.
- The superb Planète Sauvage zoo in Port-Saint-Père: 45 km (50 mins).
